Description

Inspired by the oriental wabi-sabi aesthetics, with “imperfect integrity” as the core, the cracks, scars and rough texture of the original wood tell the symbiotic relationship between objects and time. The back of the chair is like a wind-eroded rock wall, and the seat is like the floor of an old teahouse. The traces of hand-carving replace the industrial finish, making every seat a Zen ritual of dialogue with nature.
Naked coating: natural beeswax + plant oil coating, which does not cover the cracks and color difference of the wood, and oxidizes over time to reveal a warm patina.
